Hello!

Hi, I’m Priya!

I’m a pediatric occupational therapist, former teacher, and a parent. I’ve spent over 17 years helping children and families all over the country live full and happy lives through holistic therapy, coaching, and education.

Year after year, I’ve helped children overcome major issues with attention, social skills, handwriting, visual-motor coordination, and more. In some cases, their challenges are innate and require ongoing management, but in many cases tackling these issues—and avoiding the precursory pitfalls—in the first two years of a child’s life can make all the difference in ensuring or restoring full function.

This realization, coupled with my own experience and insight as a parent, is why I've shifted my focus from playing catch-up through corrective therapies in older children, to empowering new parents with the therapeutic and preventative tools, education, and support they need to thrive from earlier on.

It’s my mission to save as many families as I can from the stress we went through! And by the way, I will always address child and parent health together, because wellness for parent and child are intertwined. When I am stressed out and confused about what next steps were, so is my kid.

I help parents save time researching and worrying so that they can parent their kids with more confidence. Whether you want some help with tummy time, a therapeutic approach for a specific concern like a “flat head” spot, torticollis, difficulty breastfeeding due to oral dysfunction, or coaching, reach out!

I have the clinical expertise, I’m a developmental specialist and I’ve been through many of these challenges myself as a new parent. I am big on a team approach while balancing the need for not having too many appointments all the time. I’ve often been called the “quarterback” of a team, helping to prioritize various services at different times, even if that means I step back for a few weeks or months so that we don’t overwhelm the family. What’s best for the family and child is my priority. And, I promise, I will connect you with the right provider or team if I can’t help you or if something is out of my scope.

Listen, it takes a village. Many of us don’t have our village (yet), or our villages are a plane ride away. Allow me to be part of your village so that you can spend less time worrying and more time thriving!

So when that nagging feeling that something is not quite right won’t quit, trust your parent gut. You know yourself and your child best.

Why work with me?

A holistic approach. I am committed to looking at the whole child and family, not just one aspect of function. Everything from birth experience, family configuration, home environment, foods to food and nutrition has the potential to help or block your longer term. When you work with me, I consider all of it.

Integrated, multi-disciplinary expertise. By combining science, psychology, education, nutrition, health and wellness I am able to provide holistic, balanced OT services and coaching. I have the knowledge, hands-on expertise, and insight from being a parent myself. My background as an educator means my passion for helping children runs deep.

Practical services, tailored to you. By offering services one-on-one, sometimes in a family’s home environment or community, I am able to integrate treatment plans into your family’s existing setup and routine. We will work together to find strategies and develop tools that are practical for you and tailored to your family dynamics.

Honesty and transparency. I’ll only recommend services and equipment that are necessary, and that I would use myself. I will only agree to work with you if I think I can truly help you or your family. I will refer you to a different practitioner, specialty or service if I feel you would benefit more from working with them. I never overprescribe therapy or coaching.

Flexible working relationships. Every child and family has different needs, schedules, and preferences. That’s why I offer a variety of scheduling options, and I’m open to working with you in ways that work for you. Clinic, home based and virtual visits are all on the table!

Here’s my street cred:

I have graduate degrees in occupational therapy and teaching, an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, and special interests in early intervention, nutrition, breastfeeding, the TOTs trifecta (flat head, oral dysfuntion/tongue ties and torticollis), orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT), breath work and craniofacial development, mental health, parenting, divorce and co-parenting. I use a balanced, whole body & whole family approach to all treatments. I’ve taken over 50 continuing education courses… and counting! I also think being a parent counts - I’ve been through it, and am going through it with you!
